Mornings around our house are a little crazy. I would love to tell you that I get up an hour before everyone else and make a warm breakfast that everyone loves, but since I just confessed to a close group of friends that I depend on my kids to make their own breakfast every morning, I’ll go honest with you. I really like my sleep. Really. (This is where you can tell me that I’m not alone on this – LOL!)
This weekend, the kids and I worked on a recipe for overnight cereal. They can put it together in less than ten minutes and wake up to a yummy breakfast.
- Honey Bunches of Oats Strawberry (If Strawberries aren’t a hit at your house, you could easily substitute Honey Bunches of Oats Honey Roasted or Honey Bunches of Oats Almond)
- Vanilla Yogurt
- Granola with Dark Chocolate (because if you tell your kids they can have chocolate for breakfast, you win!)
Add cereal to 1/3 of the jar, then layer vanilla yogurt, dark chocolate granola, more vanilla yogurt, and strawberries. So easy, right?!
Nate was my taste tester. I think he liked it!
Ok, now for the fun part. Have you heard of the new movie Sing?! Right now, at Walmart, there are specially marked packages of SING cereal! When you purchase one of the boxes marked with the SING promotion, you can participate in the Post SING national sweepstakes! The specially-marked boxes have codes that are printed inside that you enter into the sweepstakes website.
Julia and I were treated to a sneak peak of the movie last week, and we loved it! The movie was so sweet and loaded with amazing songs. We found ourselves cheering for the characters and rooting for the one we hoped would win! It made me dream of Julia being discovered, so the entire world could hear her gift for singing. (A mom can dream, right?!)
Do you have plans to go see the movie?! I can’t wait to see it again and take Nate!
