The Happy Day Project {Wednesday}

Wednesday morning I woke up feeling like poo.

My throat hurt.

Whenever my throat hurts, that is when I pull out all the stops praying to God to take it away. I make all sorts of promises about the good that will pour out of me if only my throat would stop hurting.

I know, I know, really mature.

The Happy Day Project Wednesday assignment was:  a Gift-card to the Homeless.

I did not see any homeless on Wednesday, but giftcards are in my wallet, ready to be passed out with a smile.

Matthew 25:

34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

No where in this passage does it say…

Make a list.

Judge them first.

Decide what they will use the coat for and only then should you give it to them.

Decide what they will use the money for and only then should you give it to them.

Nope.

It says:

You came to visit me.

You gave me something to eat.

You gave me something to drink.

He has so perfectly poured out His love into us ~ let’s throw our arms wide and give it away!

Rise up dear friends and be salty!!

Matthew 5:

13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
