Today was Life Teen after Mass.

The band prepared to play during Adoration.

{What is Adoration? Understood simply, Eucharistic Adoration is adoring or honoring the Eucharistic Presence of Christ. In a deeper sense, it involves “the contemplation of the Mystery of Christ truly present before us”. Feel free to read more here…. }

As we prepared, a lady entered the church in tears. She was not with the teens and we all looked at each other uncomfortably wondering if she wanted us to try to comfort her or leave her alone.

We went with comfort.

Our first song was Might to Save:

Now I surrender.

I watched as two teens walked up and embraced her with a bear hug, welcoming her into their time and their world.

I watched as people reached out and helped.

God is so good.

I truly believe that we had Life Teen today, not for the teens, but for that one precious lady who needed a community and a place to be loved.
