Francesca Battistelli, Julia, and grace

Last month, I was able to take Julia to a Francesca Battistelli concert. She is one of our favorite musicians! We both love to sing to her songs! I love it when here is an artist that we both love.

I was going to surprise her with backstage passes, but Francesca was ill after the concert and not able to meet. I was so nervous how Julia would react. I thought she would be so disappointed. I was bracing for tears and an offer for midnight ice cream.

When we got to the car, Julia asked if we could pray for her to feel better. We also prayed for her sick little ones.

That is not how I react when I am disappointed. It is so humbling when my children teach me lessons.

Philippians 4:6

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

This song speaks so clearly to both Julia and I. If we are in the car together, you better believe we are belting it out! I hope the lyrics encourage you today!

P.S. I also had the opportunity to hear Lindsay McCaul for the first time. Oh my goodness! She is a Texas girl that lives in Tennessee that can sing! Every single song she sang had an amazing story that she shared with us. After the concert, we rushed out and bought her CD. We’ll be working on singing in the car to her, too!
