I have a dear friend that I used to work with. She took over contracts for me. If you have ever worked with RFPs (request for proposals) or contracts, you know how much effort that is. After spending a few weeks in close quarters training and teaching, we became close friends. We talked about our past, our future, and our dreams. When I left the company I worked for, we came up with a plan to stay in touch. I live very close to the company and on Thursdays I am not involved in carpool responsibilities. (Sometimes you have to get creative to make time for each other!)  She stops by for coffee or tea about 30 minutes to an hour once a month.

One of my favorite parts is to let her pick out her cup. I love opening my cabinet of mismatched cups and watching friends choose their coffee cup.

I feel like it lets me have a peek inside their mood that day!

We head out to the porch and watch Riley run around.

The backyard is rarely picked up, but it is still the perfect place to listen to the birds and catch up with each other.

I treasure face to face time with people. It really helps me to connect with them and keep our friendship strong!

Next time she comes over, I have a special treat for her – Pumpkin Spice Powdered Creamer and Tasters Choice coffee. It will be so fun to enjoy a holiday flavor and talk about how our Thanksgiving was.

I was able to find these at Walmart just doing my regular grocery shopping.
