DIY Shirts and Backyard Concerts

Disclosure: I received the vinyl from Expressions Vinyl to facilitate my review. It is my honor to share news with you from a company that I enjoy and support! This post also includes an affiliate link to Cricut.

A few weeks ago, Expressions Vinyl sent over some vinyl for me to play around with! I’ve never made anything with vinyl, so I was pretty nervous about trying it. A group of friends and I got together and they showed me just how easy it was! Now, I may have an entire wish list of shirts and items I want to make for everyone.

I made Mary Alice this cute little Disney themed shirt in less than two minutes. The shirt was less than $4.00. Now, I totally understand why people love doing this! It is such a cute, affordable, easy way to customize anything. I made Julia a musical Disney shirt, and Nate, Brian, and Riley all received Texas Aggie shirts (of course!). I was going to give them as gifts for Valentine’s Day, but I couldn’t wait! I made myself a guest towel for the downstairs restroom for Valentine’s Day. And the sports team shirts?! I can’t believe how affordable these were to make. There will definitely be more in the future.

My sweet friend, Ashley, helped me with the designs, cutting, and weeding (all these new terms!) and my lovely friend, Sara, organized the evening. We used Ashley’s Powerpress Heat Press, which made it easy peasy! It was so fun to get together with a group of girls and just make. We are already planning on doing it again!

Mary Alice immediately put it on, grabbed her microphone and sunglasses and gave us a backyard concert. I’m pretty sure the Wiggles would have been impressed. Her bright personality is such a treat. I know it’s going to keep me on my toes, but it brings so much laughter and love to our family.
