Blended Conference marked my 10th blogging conference. Every conference I attend, I think – why am I going? I’m not a big blogger. I’m not going to be the next Pioneer Woman or Enjoying the Small Things – (well, unless something really cool happens and I absolutely would not complain).
Every time it comes back to the same reason. I want to meet the women that I have laughed with, cried with, and stood for a cause with in real life. There is something so very special that happens when you meet other bloggers and they really are that kind in real life.
For me, conferences all come down to two things:
- Who are the hosts? If you admire, relate to, and respect the hosts, chances are you are really going to enjoy the conference.
- Who are the speakers? If you think you can learn something new from the speakers, chances are you are going to walk away with great information.
It’s that simple.
Wendy and Wendy were our hosts for the conference. I’ve known Wendy from Choosing Love for a few years now. I have the privilege of contributing to Arizona Mom’s Network. Wendy is one of the kindest and most generous people I have met – and her sons are adorable! They are so polite and funny. I have only known Wendy from Around My Family Table for a few months. She quickly became a friend and resource for all things WordPress related.
When they asked me to be the Event Photographer for Blended, the heavens opened up, angels sang, my head grew three sizes and I said “yes”! I had a wonderful day and, as always, came away with amazing knowledge and friends for life.
The Wendys worked incredibly hard to make the day amazing.
Maureen from Wisconsin Mommy was the keynote speaker. The entire time I was photographing her speaking, I kept wishing I had my notepad to write everything down with!
I am already looking forward to next year’s event!
The brands that sponsored the day were outstanding and generous!
If you have a chance, be sure to stop by and check out these sponsors. They believe in entrepreneurs and community!
