DIY Easter Baskets

Easter Baskets are such a wonderful memory for me!

Mom always had baskets set up on the kitchen table when we woke up on Easter morning. We would find a brand new pair of socks and other fun things filling the baskets to the brim!

My brother and I would empty out the baskets, crinkling cellophane and getting green plastic grass everywhere. We would use those same baskets to collect carefully hidden eggs later on. It was always such a great time.

I love doing the same for my kids! This year I have an idea to surprise them on Easter morning with something fun and something tasty.

My father and me, on my second Easter morning, 1977.

This year, I chose to fill their baskets with:

  • Books
  • Cute Pencils
  • Annie’s Organic Chocolate Chip Granola Bars
  • Annie’s Organic Peanut Butter Granola Bars
  • Bunny ears

I didn’t have to spend a lot to make an adorable basket. And, I was able to use items that are great, better for you, options!

Mornings are busy around here with five little ones. These are perfect for grabbing as we run out the door to school.

Annie’s granola bars are also a perfect breakfast for Easter morning, while you are getting ready to cook a big meal later that day. I love finding ways to remind my children to make choices that are natural and organic whenever they are able to.

What will your children find on the table this Easter?
