This season  of my life has been quietly challenging. Under my roof is a five month old, a senior in high school, and everything inbetween. Our sweet 1st grader has been diagnosed with dyslexia and RAD (reactive attachment disorder). I’ve found myself looking down and whispering prayers, begging for help to be the mom that my family needs right now.

I’m learning to let go of my to-do list, what I think is important, and my own goals. I’m noticing that my home is the most peaceful when I simply look into the eyes of my children, put away my distractions, and smile at their accomplishments, no matter how big or small. That might mean missing an event or letting the dishes stay in the sink while I tend to young hearts that need grace.

I’m craving encouragement on this journey, as I learn more about the best way to love my little one. I’m praying that He will be glorified and that our sweet Riley will be healed.
