High Hopes

KAE_8697

Have you ever read Dottie Angel?

She is absolutely precious. She writes with rainbows and meadows and roses. I’m quite sure we would be dear friends. I would sit at her feet, pet Used Dog and Little Olive, go thrifting with her and drink tea.

She uses the phrase high hopes and it makes me very happy.

On my way back from Texas, I was sitting next to two very tall young men from Tennessee.

They were brothers – so kind and caring to one another.

It made me miss Sweet Baby J and Nate the Great so much.

Instead of throwing myself a pity party, I decided to start writing a list of my high hopes.

My heart is bursting with all the things I want to do and tell you!

I’ve been talking to God a lot lately. (Do you do that, too?).

I have a very bad habit of talking to Him only when I am lonely or upset, but I know it is ok with Him. He understands.

I’ve been thinking a lot about my photography dreams.

I’ve been talking to Him a lot about ripping the desire out of my heart if it is not His will for me.

The plans of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from the Lord. All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the spirit. Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established. Proverbs 16:1-3

Here is what I do know.

He will make all things beautiful in his time.

I will keep on talking to Him about it and asking Him for my heart to line up with His will.

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

I do have high hopes and daydreams.

I know that His plan is better than mine could ever be!

I know that His timing is more perfect than mine could ever be!

If you are waiting for something ~ whatever high hope you have ~ hang in there. He has beautiful plans in store for you!

Hugs,

Kate
