And then we moved.
This blog was born just after we moved to Arizona. It was born out of a love for chronicling memories and the need for a hobby. Without a doubt, our journey to Arizona was a rich blessing in growth found in the unlikely desert.
We met our third child. I became a photographer. I am now a stay at home mom. My Catholic faith grew into a desire to learn the way of the saints and become a great saint. I am now an adoptive mom, a foster care mom, a survivor of miscarriage, a speaker, and the mom of five beautiful children. I’ve sent a child to college watched another child bravely finish his senior year in Arizona. Riley’s birth family has become our family as well. We have grown and loved and cherished one another. They will always, always be part of our family.
And now we are home. We’ve returned from our exile praising our God for all that He has done for us.
We are near our family once again, ready for our next adventure.
My proverbial plate has stayed emptier this time – partly due to the pandemic, partly due to my choice. I’ve learned that it takes all of me to be present for my family. I have a tendency to overcommit, then punish them for my lack of time. I’m ready to just stay available for them.
