Nate had a Rugby game Saturday.

Julia played with a new friend all day.

Riley and I took a nap together.

Brian cleaned the garage.

I am blessed. So very blessed.

It is nice to have a little rest after the holidays. Do you agree?

I have been on a mission to just surround myself with beauty lately. I want to fill my home with beauty and joy. I want the littles to feel so wrapped in love when they are here. Food, shelter, and a very content mommy.

When I surround myself with thoughts of beauty, contentment settles in.

Being content. The deeper I fall in love with my God, the more content I feel. I can actually feel the troubles of the world slip off of my shoulders. I have no beautiful or poetic phrase to share. I just feel more and more like “It is what it is”. Every step and thought should just be a determined march closer to Him. That’s it. If my thoughts or words are not that, then they are empty.

Moments like this make me want to kneel in thankfulness. How is it possible that that a God, a Creator, wants to know us? He absolutely does. I’m sure of it.
