Nate’s 11th birthday was yesterday.
I had been invited to see Disney’s Million Dollar Arm, so I had planned to take him as my +1 for some special time together. It was so fun to take him and keep him out late on a school night – we are such rebels!
From the moment he was born, Nate has been a happy extrovert! He loves to make people laugh and smile. He loves to tell people stories. A few years ago, I called my mom and told her that I felt like I was raising my daddy.
When he was two years old, we were in the grocery store in Denton, Texas. He saw a lady on the same aisle and said, “Hello, would you like to meet my mom?” I asked him if he knew her and he told me that he didn’t, but he thought I should.
This past year, Nate has opened up his room and shared his space with Riley. He did so without complaining or fussing. He lets Riley tackle him and follow him everywhere. Nate’s heart is huge and is an example to me everyday.
Love you Nate!
