I recently drove to a Sold by the Case event and received a huge carton of chicken. They delivered it straight to my car. They even put a tarp down just in case there was any spilling – amazing customer service!

As I write this post, I have three separate sets of chicken cooking.

  • Chicken in the crock-pot, slow cooking with chicken broth – for shredded chicken. I’ll be using it for tacos, chicken salad, and fajitas.
  • Chicken in a dutch oven – smothered in Italian dressing. This will be dinner tonight with a side of Italian couscous.
  • Chicken in stone ware – covered in Dr. Pepper BBQ sauce. This will be dinner for tomorrow night – served on Hawaiian Bread with onions and pickles.

I am thrilled about all the various ways I’ve been able to use their chicken! It has certainly allowed me to have a little creative fun.

From their website:

  • Our Trademark Event
  • 100 % natural chicken with no added hormones, additives or artificial ingredients
  • Comes directly from the processor and has never been frozen
  • Sold by the case — 40 lbs in each case
  • Case dimensions—18 in wide x 12 in deep x 7 in tall

[NOTE:  Our chicken is delivered in its original wholesale packaging, a water resistant cardboard case containing three or four plastic bags of fresh chicken breasts. The smaller bags are typically sealed in a larger plastic bag. The smaller bags are not uniform in weight. There will be small amounts of naturally occurring liquids (i.e.,”chicken juice”) in each bag and case. Chicken breasts typically come in double-lobed pairs (“butterfly”) and will have small attached amounts of fat. Some trimming may be required.]

I’ve been very impressed by the quality of the chicken and how easy it was to pick up. The service was great. They even sent me reminders about the time frame to pick up the chicken that day.

I would absolutely recommend it to my friends. (that’s you!)
