On Sunday, we headed back to the pier.
We let the kids pick what they wanted to do and they chose to go back ~ that has to be a good sign, right?!
Brian and sweet baby J chose the Ferris Wheel. She was so nervous. It was so sweet watching her cuddle up to Brian as the line advanced.
Nate decided the Ferris Wheel was too high ~ so I watched him ride the Scrambler. It was so fun!
See the waving?! Lucky Number 13…
For the record ~ Julia loved it. The heights didn’t bother her at all. She wanted to go again and again.
Julia was jonesin’ for one of these crayons.
She wanted one so badly.
So, I put the money down.
This was it… my moment of truth. I am magic with the toy cranes. I was just sure I could use my mommy magic on this too.
Julia wanted the green crayon. I was ready.
Did I do it? Did I rock the race?
She was so happy! We high fived ~ for the first time in years.
Then, it happened… “Mom, should you try and win one for Nate?”
Oh no! The pressure.
Game on…
Did I do it again?!
Oh yeah! Two in a row… first and second try… rock on!
Julia spotted this Dallas Cowboys bear.
Since I was on F-I-R-E, we decided to go for it!
(do you remember the NBA arcade game where the player’s feet would catch on fire? Yeah, that was me… I was on a R-O-L-L).
Did we take home the Dallas Cowboy Bear?
Let’s just say Nate has a new friend he nick named Dallas!
For all those mornings my temper is short.
For all those mornings I act like a general.
For all those afternoons I want to sneak away for a nap more than anything in the world.
For all those dinners that i just throw together instead of making a real dinner for everyone.
This was my moment… Maiden of the Midway.
