Traffic Secrets: The Underground Playbook

In March, I was given the opportunity to take a 30 day challenge using the book Traffic Secrets . In exchange for my sharing my thoughts, I would receive a copy of the book. It was perfect timing, given that social distancing had just begun and I would have plenty of extra time on my hands.

I was intrigued by his promise that his book was evergreen advice on how to drive more traffic to your website. Were there really readers out there that I could find easily, just by using his techniques?

I decided to focus on Scottsdale Moms website and do the Traffic Secrets exercises with that platform in mind.

I have attended and even been on the executive team for quite a few conferences sharing best practices and ideas from bloggers I absolutely admire, but I always wish we had days to just sit and implement all the ideas! This was the perfect book to work through to hit reset and really consider what our purpose is for Scottsdale Moms.

If you have been following along on my twitter account, you know the exercises walk you through very specific ways to grow and refocus your purpose and where to find your community.

I have a tendency to want to do a little bit of everything. I hear a wonderful idea and think, ‘yes! we should do that!’ Then, I end up with a long list of things I want to do, spending a lot of time on random ideas. This was the tug on my sleeve that I needed to stay in my lane. Scottsdale Moms does not have to be everything to everyone.

I can be what was intended – a collaborative blog written by and for local moms with daily posts on things to do around town, ways to get involved in the community, parenting solutions, personal essays from local moms, local business spotlights, giveaways, and more.

I am a little over half way through the book and I have implemented many of his exercises. What I have found to be the most helpful is the time it has freed up for me, by giving me the permission I didn’t know I needed to stay in my lane and be the best resource for Scottsdale Moms I can be.

If this sounds like something you’d enjoy, too, they are offering a free copy of the book if you pay for the shipping costs. Use this link for your copy. Let me know if you do it, too! I’d love to hear all about what learn!
