Tried and True Kids Crafts

Beat the “I’m bored” blues with these tried and true kids crafts.

Tried and True Kids Crafts

Seems like we’ve all been there- we’re stuck inside and the kids are bored. Maybe it is just too hot to go out (or maybe you get a lot of rainy days in your neck of the woods). Then comes complaining and whining. However, I find it helps to have fun ideas to keep little hands busy. Boredom busters, kids DIY projects, anything to get them away from the TV or video screen for a little while, am I right? I am putting together some ideas to keep my kids occupied. I even thought that I would write a few ideas down and let my kids pull them out of a hat or jar so it would be more of a surprise! Hope you get inspired as I share these tried and true kids crafts I found.

Tried and True Kids Crafts

My favorite things to try are usually those that have been tested out a few times. Last thing I need is to make a big mess and have something that looks like a feature on Nailed It. If you have some tried and true kids craft ideas, I’d love to hear about them!

Play Dough and Putty

Depending on your kids, you may want to involve them in making or mixing the dough. Kids love helping with measuring ingredients and stirring. Additionally, you could turn it into a learning opportunity. Next, roll into shapes and letters, start with primary colors and see what happens when you combine them.
