Where the Sidewalk Ends…

Everyone should have a friend named Bones.

Bones was transferred from Texas, too. He arrived just a few weeks before we did. We have known him and worked with him since Nate was born.

He is an avid hiker, loves being outdoors and loves teaching people. He tells us all the good places to go, which is especially handy for someone like me who tends to get stuck in ruts.

So, when he told us to drive until the road ended… I should have known he was being very literal.

Julia was at a friends house, so it was just Nate that afternoon…. (what a strange stage in life this is).

It was a great day. Nate and Brian hung out, practicing snorkeling. I wrote letters and did some people watching…

  1. We’ve been meaning to go up there for the Stargazing programs, but it’s quite a trek and we haven’t made it there yet. Looks beautiful!
