Photography and Friends

A few weeks ago, I had the incredible pleasure of meeting online friends in the real world. I’ve talked before about my friend, Nancy. Well, she is an amazing photography teacher. Amazing. Her students are all over the world. After you’ve taken her classes and ‘graduated’, you are invited to join a photo club made up of students that have taken her classes.

This group gives you advice, guidance, and encouragement with your photography.

I’ve come to lean on them for inspiration and a safe place to talk about the world of having a photography business.

Somehow, although we are from all over, we have so much in common. Many of us have adopted. Many of us have large families. Many of us love connecting with other photographers. And many of us love Jesus with all of our hearts. This makes for a very unique, strong community. To top it all off, Nancy is the queen of constructive criticism. She has a way of helping you become the best without tearing you down for one second.

Nancy held a photo club reunion here in Scottsdale. We learned and laughed and ate and did photoshoots in a junkyard (fun!) and garden. Goodness I love people. I love connecting with them and getting a little glimpse into their beauty.

These are a few of my favorite shots. Enjoy!

And my favorite model of all…

My Nate.
