Each year, on Memorial Day, Brian and I take some time out to go by the closest National Cemetery. We use this time as a teaching moment ~ thankful for all those who sacrificed their lives for this nation.
We also use this time to talk about our own families.

Once a pilot… always a pilot! {I was about 8 years old}
We talk about Brian’s grandmother, who was a WAVE, my Grandpa White, a Marine, and so many other family members who sacrificed so much for our freedom.
It is a great teaching moment to talk about the big things…. how good we have it here in America…. our freedom… our blessings… our patriotism… and our contributions.
