Have you noticed? When you are in a happy marriage, it is almost like you are supposed to keep it a secret.

Why is that? Are we scared of offending someone? Are we nervous about appearing too happy? Or is it just easier to jump in and complain about things?

I’m here to challenge you to adore your husbands.

  • Give him a compliment
  • Thank him for working so hard
  • Look into his eyes and smile
  • What was his favorite meal? Great! Make it or get takeout.

Join me in shouting from the rooftops about the blessing of a happy and healthy marriage. Encourage others to truly love their husbands. Make your home a refuge for him, where he can rest and be loved. Share the burdens of this world together.

Is it work? Sure.

Are there days that it is work to find nice things to say to each other? Yes.

But oh my friends… it’s worth it.

When you come to a place when you realize that you are each other’s champion, you breathe. You finally rest knowing that you have a safe place to love and be loved.

Today, if something doesn’t go quite right, smile at him. Give him your love.

Happy Valentines dear friends. You are loved.

Sincerely,

Kate

  1. You build your home and world by every word you speak to one another. people forget.

  2. You two are adorable. It’s so easy to complain, but early on my husband and I made a pact to never talk badly about each other to other people (only to each other, jk!). I try to build him up whenever I can, because it’s so important!

    • Megan, so true! It is so important to be each other’s “home base”
