Oh this movie! I laughed, I cried…
Wait. Let me start at the beginning. At 3:30 pm last Thursday, I was laying out an outfit for my middle child’s orchestra concert, cooking dinner, charging the video camera, and wistfully thinking of the evening ahead of me. At 4:30pm, my dearest would walk in the door. I would hand him three fed and dressed children, the diaper bag, and the video camera. I would smile at him and tell him to have a wonderful time at the orchestra concert and I would drive north to meet up with friends that I only see once every few months. We would look amazing, have a wonderful meal together, and watch a movie together.
Magical.
Well, let me tell you how it really went down…
At 3:37 pm, middle child went upstairs to put on the dreaded orchestra uniform and nothing fit. N-O-T-H-I-N-G. I threw all children in the car, turned off dinner, and raced to Target to buy clothes. Three slur-pees, two pretzels, and one uniform later, I decided to drive through Boston Market for dinner. All children rejoiced at having excess mac and cheese coursing through their veins.
At 4:12 pm, I pulled into the driveway and yelled at everyone to hurry up and get inside and eat.
At 4:36 pm, I wondered where my sweet husband was.
At 4:52 pm, he walked through the door with a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolates for St. Valentine’s Day on Friday. I proceeded to break down into a sobbing mess. We had mis-communicated. I needed to meet my friends for dinner by 5:00 pm. He thought I needed to leave the house by 5:00 pm.
I missed dinner completely, but made it in time to find my friends and watch the movie together.
The irony of the evening not being lost of me as the movie ‘Moms’ Night Out’ started.
Let me just tell you – you will love it, your husband will love it, and your best friend will love it! It is hilarious and relate-able. Yes, I cried. Yes, I laughed. Yes, I said ‘uh-huh’ to the movie screen.

They blessed us with sweet bags of goodies about motherhood.
Mark your calendar for May 9th and find a group of friends to go see it with!
They gave us some goodies to share, so I will be picking two winners to ship packages to. My favorite thing from the goody bag that you will receive is this cute ring of scriptures and prayers for our kids!
