On Saturday morning of the conference, the kids and Brian were welcomed into a breakfast in the main conference room with the other conference family members – while I headed into another conference room with the conference attendees. It was there that I met one of my favorite people – Genevieve Goings from “Choo Choo Soul”.

Did we sing “All aboard the choo choo train?” Oh yes we did!

I was sitting up front and center and I’m pretty sure she’d like me to be her backup singer from now on.

We squealed out loud knowing our kids would get to meet her soon.

Then, I almost fell out of my chair when we found out who would be reading to our kids…

I teared up as he spoke with love and endearment about his mother. I felt my heart stir as he spoke about his true passion – reading.

This is a cause I can absolutely get behind. Every child needs a book.

They announced:

For a limited time, with the purchase of any specially-marked Disney Junior book or product, receipts or packaging will include a redemption code allowing kids and families to direct the donation of a book to First Book in the region of their choice and to access a free Disney Digital Book to share as a family. Additionally, Give a Book, Get a Book bookmarks with redemption codes will be distributed to visitors at participating public libraries and Radio Disney events throughout the summer. With the help of families across the United States, Disney and First Book will donate up to one million books through this program.

Disclosure: Our family was invited to the 2014 Disney Social Media Moms Celebration. We were provided hotel accommodations, park tickets, and delicious meals. We were not asked to post, but these are the moments of my family – moments I want to remember. Thank you for sharing them with me!
