The 23rd of December is Brian’s youngest sister’s birthday… we had a wonderful time playing rock band and eating way too much!

Have I told you about her? She is everything wonderful… Sweet and kind, creative and funny and wonderful with my children! Theresa, you ROCK! and your husband Daniel cracks me up!

My nephew, Caden, arrived from Houston… have I mentioned how adorable he is? I love him so much. Not like I would steal him or anything… well, maybe… if no one was watching… and no one would be mad… but he loves his mama too much, it would just never work. And I am slightly against stealing.

I have many stories to tell, but I’ll start with this one…

Each year, it is WORK to balance, schedule and care for each other’s family’s feelings and traditions. BUT, it is always worth it. 

We make it work because we care. We love each other’s extended family and want so badly to see each other as much as possible, especially now that we have moved. My children are so lucky to have two sets of grandparents that love them, teach them, lead them and listen to them.

To everyone – for all the driving, sleeping on floors, crowded kitchens, watching children, kind words, smiles, hugs and trying… just plain trying. Thank you. I really had a wonderful time. I am blessed.
