About a week ago, Nate had the honor of bringing the class bear home to play. Beary the Rabbit came with a notebook. The notebook had a cover letter that explained that Beary did not enjoy watching TV or playing video games, but he L-O-V-E-D to play and pretend. Then each child that had taken Beary home was invited to write a few sentences and draw a picture of what they did with Beary! (Great idea, right?! We love Ms. Slade – Nate’s teacher – she is amazing!)

Nate decided he wanted to go one step further. He also wanted to take pictures and email Ms. Slade.. So here is what we sent….

Ms. Slade,

Thank you so much for our play date with Beary! We had a wonderful time!

We played roller-coaster, sat in Nate’s favorite chair, looked at family pictures, and listened to stories.

Beary was a very kind and gracious guest. He took care of his baby sister, sat politely while we ate dinner (Nate said he had eaten earlier), and listened intently while Nate read his stories.
