Disneyland Day Two – Type-A Bootcamp Reception

We were  in Disneyland this past week for the Type-A Bootcamp Blog Conference. It was a wonderful conference and I learned a ton. I am still digesting everything.

That evening, the family was treated to a reception in the Grand Californian. Characters were there to meet the little ones and Riley was in heaven. I want to soak up every moment of him meeting the Disney Characters. There is nothing better watching him. He is absolutely delighted with every single moment.

He was not impressed with Maleficent. She kept telling Nate to stand further and further away. I love Julia’s face here. And Riley told me that she called him “little”. He was not down with that. (making her such a perfect Maleficent).

Peter Pan gave them bags of jewels that I continued to step on every night in the hotel. It was such a sweet touch and Riley is calling it “his treasure”. I called them many names – most of them were not as nice as treasure.

Captain Hook kept backing up from Riley, trying to play the villain, but Riley kept hugging his leg and smiling at him. Captain Hook knelt down and let him just talk his ear off for a few minutes. Riley told him Peter Pan was there and Captain Hook jumped up and started looking around. Riley thought that was the funniest thing he’d ever seen.

We were treated to a few rides in the park and watching World of Color. It was such an amazing way to end the day with Brian and the kids.

These are days, you’ll remember
Never before and never since, I promise
Will the whole world be warm as this and as you feel it

You’ll know it’s true that you are blessed and lucky
It’s true that you are touched by something
That will grow and bloom in you
