Due to budget cuts, Aztec + Zuni = Redfield. The kids are headed to a new school this year.

The principals did a GREAT job really including the kids in all the decisions about the name and mascot – they actually had a vote about what the ‘new’ combined school was going to be called.

I was pretty nervous because the thought of the kids starting another new school (we just got here in time for the start of the last school year!) was not fun to me. But they both didn’t skip a beat…

We ran into sweet Sydney, Julia’s best friend, and they are in the same class.

Then, we found out Nate’s teacher’s favorite place is ::drum roll:: Disneyland! He was pumped. Her whole room is decorated like a mini-Disneyland.

One day, when I become a big kid, I will be okay with change. I will truly surrender to His will and remember that His plan is A-L-W-A-Y-S better than mine.
