Life360 – Staying in touch with your teens and tweens

Disclosure: Life360 asked me to share a little bit about how their app works, especially in light of the Halloween season coming up. I had the chance to try it personally earlier this year at Disneyland, and I love this app. Yes, this is a sponsored post, but these opinions are mine. I really think this is a great app for teens and tweens!

This month I’ve shared a lot with you about Julia and her phone. It is still so strange for me that she has a phone. I didn’t have a phone until my she was born. I drove back and forth to college without a phone. Times have changed. I really do love her having a phone. There are a few apps that we have found that are making things so much easier to navigate.

When I allow her to walk in the mall with a friend and I’m on another floor, this app shows me exactly where she is. We have a family circle that shows just Brian, her, and I. It truly is a non-invasive way to check on her without calling or texting.

From Life 360:

How Does Life360 Work?

The increasing adoption of smartphones and other wearable devices introduces an opportunity to reduce the friction or anxiety that comes with the most common communications we have with our family everyday via mobile devices: “Where are you?” “When will you be home?”

Our location sharing and in-app messaging technology helps reduce and simplifythe number of these often frustrating messages by preemptively providing alerts to Circle members (family and closest friends) when users arrive at or leave certain locations. With Life360, simply open the app and instantly see everyone in your private Circle on the map. Users can also message the whole group at once or on a 1:1 basis.

Life360 is having an Instagram contest:  if you share your costume photos, follow @Life360app and tag it #Scare360, you are randomly entered to win a $100 Amazon gift card!

Let me know if you download it! A group of us also used it on a road-trip and it was a blast to see who was where. It helped us meet up randomly for lunch on the way to California, making our trip even more fun!
