Cubs in the Kitchen cookbook from the Berenstain Bears {and a giveaway}

Do you remember the Berenstain Bears? That was one of my favorite book series when I was little. I’m so excited that they are releasing a new cookbook for you to do with your little ones!

Last week, Riley and I opened the book and sat down to pick out something for lunch. He had a blast looking through all of the pictures and deciding what sounded good.

He decided he wanted to make the Turkey Shaped Sandwiches, so off to the kitchen we went!

I let him cut up the carrots (with a plastic knife).

We used a cup to cut out a circle for the turkey face, then we created our Turkey Shaped Sandwich!

We had a blast creating in the kitchen together and making our little turkey. The Cubs in the Kitchen cookbook is full of great recipes that your little ones can assist with. The cookbook has breakfast, lunch, main meal, and dessert recipes that are perfect for when your little ones are helping you in the kitchen! The bright illustrations and easy to follow directions kept Riley’s attention the whole time.

Many of the recipes call for fresh fruits, vegetables, and honey as a substitution for sugar. The recipes called for items that we already had in our pantry, which is always great!
