Many years ago, my mom used to tease my best friend and me that we kept Hallmark in business. We loved sending cards to people.

I love to think of a time when lady friends would sit at a table outside, surrounded by wildflowers of course, keeping up with their correspondence. They would have a basket of lovely stationery, flawless handwriting, and words that inspired dream chasing on the dullest of summer days.

Fast forward a few years, and my father-in-law is another amazing card sender. Every occasion calls for a beautiful card.

It is one of those tiny dreams that maybe one day I could write for Hallmark.
