Brian made it back from India Friday the 13th at 8am. We spent that evening with his parents.

th – Brian and his father drove the Mazda. We all picked up my mom at DFW that morning and headed out. We drove to El Paso ~ man is that a long drive! (Found out my best friend had a baby girl!!!)

th – We went to church in El Paso ~ beautiful church! We then drove the rest of the way to Scottsdale. The kids were really great! We drove by the house to show everyone (Brian picked out the most amazingly perfect house!! Our couches match the fireplace perfectly ~ same color red! Crazy!) , then drove off to the hotel (our home for the next 5 days) to get some sleep.

th – The moving van arrived. Mom and I played with the kids at the hotel (to stay out of the way). When we brought lunch to the house, the movers were almost finished and Brian and his father had the garage done! We can get both cars in! Took everyone back to the hotel ~ and swam with the kids in the pool.

th – We unpacked and took a drive down to fountain hills. http://www.fh.az.gov/ . (About 20 min. away). We had a wonderful time! (I got a little dehydrated ~ but we won’t talk about that ~ just remember, it is good to drink water in the desert!). We found the best Italian place to eat and and had a really nice time!

th – Brian and the kids took Papa to the airport. (with a detour for some hiking and rock climbing! http://maps.google.com/maps?ie=UTF8&oe=UTF-8&q=desert+botanical&near=Scottsdale,+AZ&fb=1&cid=0,0,18157475644641854031&ll=33.46502,-111.952797&spn=0.004099,0.009356&t=h&z=17 )  Mom and Katie had a girls day in celebration of mom’s 37th wedding anniversary! We went to Taliesin West (Frank Lloyd Wright’s winter home  http://www.franklloydwright.org/index.cfm?section=tour&action=taliesinwest ), shopping and lunch at the Wildflower Bread Company http://www.wildflowerbread.com/ . It was wonderful! I really enjoyed getting the chance to spend so much quality time with mom (Thank you Brian and Dad!).

th – More unpacking and Old Town Scottsdale! http://www.scottsdaleaz.gov/Page3242.aspx  Awesome toy store – Toy Jungle. Awesome baby store – Nestledown. Beautiful canal and the Insight Bowl museum. Go Pokes!

th – More unpacking and Brian and I had a date! We found a wonderful Fish Place ~ McGrath’s Fish house. The kids tried ½ day at the La Petite Brian found. They are less than 2 min. from work and have a wonderful summer camp program. So far they really like it!

st – More unpacking and Picked up dad at the airport!!!

nd – Tried a new church. Took dad to the Confederate Air force Museum, Arizona Wing http://www.azcaf.org/ . It was great!

rd – Back to work in a real office. Kids to La Petite. Mom and Dad toured the Pima Air and Space Museum (the big plane boneyard) http://wikimapia.org/5263/ . Dinner at Paradise Bakery  http://www.paradisebakery.com/   (best cookies ever!)

th – Work. Summer Camp. Mom and Dad toured Frank Lloyd Wright and we picked out patio furniture!

th – Took mom and dad to airport L  Good but missing everyone. (And remember ~ mom had been with us since June 5th (except for driving home the 13th to see my cousin’s wedding) with the movin’ and the packin’  while Brian was in India, so we really miss her!!!!)

th – Put pictures up in the kids rooms and hung the crosses in the front entryway. Almost done (3 boxes left).

th – Finally sitting down to write. Thank you all so much for your prayers and support during this time. It is really nice to be back together as a family. The kids are soaking up all their daddy time.
