When we traveled to Sedona, one of my goals was to take a picture of all four kids in the picture. It sounds easy enough, but after a year, I didn’t have one with all four of them where someone wasn’t looking away or upset or goofy.
After Mass on Sunday, while we were all spiffy looking, I really wanted to get a picture. Well, on the way into the church, Riley was stung by a wasp. During church, Mary Alice wanted nothing to do with sitting still, so I followed her around the fellowship hall. I was sweaty and annoyed and had all but given up on getting a picture.
I was getting in the car, and Brian asked me to just give it one try. He stood behind me like superdad, acting goofy with so much energy. And it happened. I got my favorite picture ever after 33 clicks.
I was showing mom the picture and she absolutely loved it! She said, “Oh, now I want a copy of that!”
