Mary Alice, no longer our youngest. She has received a promotion to big sister, to arrive around St. Patrick’s Day 2017.
I’ve wanted to write this post for a week, but I’m afraid I won’t do this announcement any justice. How do you explain another miracle?
Psalm 66:16 – Come and hear, all you who fear God, while I recount what has been done for me.
Is it a miracle? Yes. Without any doubt.
I’ve sat in the emergency room, jeans stained, as I said goodbye to twins.
I’ve sat across from doctors, as the room starts to fade when they say, “I’m so sorry. It’s just not possible.”
I’ve seen God’s glory when a little whose name was chosen for us so long ago, came into our lives.
You stood by me and celebrated when we learned of the little miracle that is Mary Alice.
And I stand here again, ready for you to tell me that I am absolutely crazy. Ready to hear your disbelief, that it was a mistake instead of a miracle. Understanding why you would tell me that the doctors just got it wrong.
But I stand before you, humbly, with certainty in the depths of my soul, as I shout, God has done great and mighty things! There is no doubt in my mind.
My family is growing again. Will you join me in celebrating?!
