My 2012 word was calm.
I truly feel like this year has been a year that I have found calm.
Maybe it is getting older or leaving 8-5 to follow my dream, but my head feels more clear lately.
I have found much peace and healing since the miscarriages. Time really has been a blessing to my fragile heart.
It’s late here at mom’s house.
Brian is back home and I miss him, but it is nice to be able to stay with mom and dad for a while longer.
Grandma is watching her favorite show, momma is sleeping in her chair trying to keep us company and I am looking over the pictures I have taken so far this holiday.
It has been a good one.
Every holiday, I just want the kids to have these days filled with great memories. This year, I am completely positive that they do. I’m blessed. I’ve gone back and forth between Brian’s family and mine and the kids have been covered in love and laughter.
It will be bittersweet to drive home next week and say goodbye to grandma, but I have used my amazing skills to convince my mom and dad to come to Arizona with me!
This makes me smile ear to ear just typing this!
I hope y’all are having a great holiday!
Kate

I loved reading this and I’m so happy you feel calm. I have a great idea that has been persistently nagging me and it’s all about you! Can’t wait until you get back to Arizona! Maybe mom and dad are coming for an extended (indefinite) (permanent!) stay?!?
