Mazatlan – Day Two

In the early morning of day 2, my stomach decided that I’m a complete wimp. I had been very careful, but something got to me. Nancy and the girls were so kind. They went into town and apparently had an adventure you’ll have to ask Melissa about. Something about a certain hostess dropping keys in the ocean?

I don’t remember much about that day. I know Nancy woke me up to give me medicine and a bucket 🙂 I woke up about three o’clock and felt so much better. The medicine was doing its magic. A few more of the girls had arrived and we had a beautiful evening watching the sunset.

Nancy’s mother, Carolyn, came on the trip. She and I drove down to dinner together while the other girls walked along the beach. I’m so glad she came on the trip. She was so fun to get to know after hearing so much about her. Her kindness and gentle presence was so comforting. She told me that she just didn’t feel like walking that night, but I’m pretty sure she drove with me just to keep me company. Carolyn and I were very proud of our navigational skills and ended up happening upon the scene of a quinceanera. It was so beautiful. (Happy Birthday, Marta from Mazatlan!)

Dinner was wonderful and we watched as the moon rose over the Pacific while white tents danced in the breeze. The Mama Mia soundtrack was on repeat, so they got to hear my rendition of ‘Take a chance on me’ at least once 🙂

More adventures to follow…
