Yesterday, I wore myself out running around trying to get shopping done.
This year, I signed up for three different gift exchanges.
I really am excited about making new friends and exchanging fun surprises in the mail, but when I got home I realized that I still need to wrap and mail them, I was feeling very overwhelmed.
I made a cup of Starbucks Holiday Blend.

I usually drive through Starbucks in the morning. I love a good cup of Chai Tea and right now I am in love with their Iced Peppermint Mocha. I don’t usually drink coffee in the afternoons, but I knew I needed a little help to get through the rest of the day.

With a hot cup of coffee in my hand, I began to tape boxes together and get in the gift giving mood.
I put on The John Rutter Christmas album and remembered that I like to whistle while I work.
For my second cup, I added a piece of cinnamon swirl coffee cake on a lovely plate to keep me going. You could absolutely tell that the cinnamon flavor was amazing with the coffee. Yum! Such a warm and cozy pick me up! The smell of the two together was amazing.
The Bakery at Walmart has a beautiful display making it easy for you to identify their Delicious Pairing ideas.

I know how much Nate’s teacher likes great coffee, so I made her a gift box of her own Delicious Pairing! I bet I’m not the only one feeling overwhelmed this season 🙂
Nate picked out a very sweet card for his teacher. This year, he has the same teacher that Julia had for fourth grade. She is amazing and cares so much for the kids.
I appreciate how much she pours herself into the kids success.
I love watching how Nate has blossomed and how he wants to do nice things for her to say thank you.
He took it to school with him today and I can’t wait for him to get home and tell me how it was to surprise her with a big box of happy!

If only I could just stuff my face into those images and devour that cinnaswirl cake, I’d be happy 🙂
That swirl cake looks amazing! I’m feeling overwhelmed with holiday activities now too!
