On Sunday afternoon, I snuck out to head to Walmart. The kids were perfectly happy watching Gravity Falls on T.V. and relaxing. The weather is cooling off here, so I wanted to be sure they spent some time outside.
Nate loves to skateboard in the cul-de-sac. At Walmart, I found the new Shaun White Skateboards. The Thrash series is just under $40.00. The board had bright and colorful graphics, so I was pretty sure Nate would love it! I brought the skateboard home and handed it over to a very excited nine year old.

Hello, blogland. This is Kate’s husband, Mr. B. Kate gave me the opportunity to do a review and I’m very excited since I love to share my opinions. (Kate here:: True Story)

Fall has finally come to the desert.
The temperatures during playtime are below 90 degrees and we are finally coming out of our summer shells. Whether it is trying new tricks or perfecting old ones, the skateboard provides a lot of opportunities to spend some father son time.

I tried skateboarding when I was younger, trying to emulate my very talented friends that lived down the street, but for some reason or another, I just couldn’t balance on the board.

For a kid that really loved the Beach Boys and really wanted to surf the sidewalks, it was a real bummer.

But now I sit here on this curb, watching my son ride this new board with his center of gravity seemingly in his ankles and I feel like I’m ‘sittin’ on top of the world’.
