Are you like me? Did you wait until the absolute last minute to make a cute 4th of July decoration?
Well, this one only took about 45 minutes and I found all supplies at Walmart.
If you ever need inspiration, one of my favorite places to look is eighteen25. Have you been to their website? Precious.
Dearest Mr. B had the wonderful opportunity to help me with this one since the kids are at Grandma Camp 2011.
Materials gathered.
We cut 5, 2″ x 14″ strips.
Then we tied the yarn and began rotating the Elmer’s foam board.
Helpful hint #1: Rotate the foam board, not the yarn. It will be faster for you and it will keep the yarn closer together with less effort.
Finish all 5 sticks with whatever colors you like!
Stand back and admire 🙂
Helpful Hint #2: Use what you have! We chose Galvanized Wire because that is what we had! I liked that it would give it a little more vintage-y feel.
To cover the unfinished edges, I used hot glue, wooden stars and glitter star stickers.
I was hoping for a not-your-usual-round wreath with a 4th of July kick… and I think it worked!
