I realized, when we were in Texas on July 12th, that Riley had been with us for three months.
Instead of it being unfamiliar that an extra little one is with us, I notice when he is not with me. I realize I’m glancing around the room for him or listening for his voice.
Julia and Nate seem more relaxed, too. Now, he is just part of our routine – part of our world.
A few weeks ago, I thought it would be so fun to do a family shoes picture. But Riley had other plans.
Now that our family has met him and the Home Study is complete (yay!), we feel more comfortable sharing his picture with you! I am so giddy. Do you know what this means? I can show you his picture anytime! I can post it on Instagram and Facebook -yay!
When I tried to take these pictures, he was so perplexed. He absolutely thought it was weird that I was taking pictures of shoes. He might be right – but he’ll get used to me.
