The first day – the very first day – after I left 8-5 behind, I had the priveledge of photographing Audrey’s birthday party.

I was shadowing LaurenJean as a 2nd photograper, picking up amazing tips and tricks.

I love photographing birthday parties. I get to stand back and just watch family and friends love on each other. It is so good for my soul!

When I photograph birhday parties,  I am fully aware that most of the pictures will end up like snapshots – pictures that someone else could have taken.

What I want to offer the family is:

• the relief of not having to remember to grab the camera
• the freedom to really, really enjoy the day
• a few amazing pictures that are more than just a quick picture snapped at the party

Lauren, thank you for teaching me. You are amazing.

Stacy, thank you for letting me come play with your friends and family.
