I walked in announced to Mr. B “I have found my place! I have a name and it is granny chic”
Earlier that week my Dottie Angel book arrived in the mail. I had been dying to unwrap the book and pour over the details, but the piles of laundry, dishes, fliers from school and that funny smell coming from the sink was taking my attention.
I sat down on a Saturday morning while the kids relocated their fort outside {after I begged them to move it so grass might grow}.
When I opened the pages a lovely pile of treasures fell out. Oh my. Button, Doily, Thread, Postcards. Hmmm…. what should I make with these?
I read the first few pages ~ you know… I get distacted-dy very easily… and then I read it… a style named Granny Chic.
I clearly remember a Mr. B friend entering our home in Denton, Texas and asking me why I thought I had become a grandma, since I decorated like one {you know who you are… kuchar… ahem}.
It has a name! I belong to a very nostalgic, modern and smart group of people who love treasures and tales and stories and details.
Smiles. Smiles all around.
Thank you Dottie Angel. You too, Tif.
Hugs,
Kate
p.s. You really should get a copy, too. It is most lovely.
