I had the honor of guest posting over at Allora Handmade
A little about Jess:
I believe that creativity is good for the soul. I love my family with all that I am. I have 2 boys (Owen -3 and Henry-1 1/2) who keep me on my toes and make me smile (when they aren’t making me crazy.) I have moved 23 times in the last 10 years. Our latest move was to help my husband finish school. I crave mexican food daily. The beach makes me giddy. (Must be the San Diego girl in me). I have learned more about myself in the last 2 years than in the 29 before them. I wish I was a dancer. I cherish real friendships. I consider motherhood an honor. I love my business and what it’s become, but my real job as a wife and mother challenges me more than anything else I’ve ever done.
You should stop by and visit her today.
She is so lovely! Her jewelry is so beautiful. I love my rosettes!
Thank you, Jess for this wonderful opportunity!

Sometimes you take hold of a task, willing it to start
But sometimes the date for the task comes and goes, whizzing by you in the dark
You are so disappointed with yourself
Sometimes you cry quietly in the dark alley of your heart
And then
You hear a drum beat in the distance
You have a choice to run, pounding your chest to that drum
Or you have a choice to fold your hands in your lap
I choose to run towards the beat of the drum
I choose to throw my hands overhead and wave to the passerbys
I choose to smile and plead with others to come with me
Whatever task you are late to
Whatever you long to take hold of
Join me
Stand up tall and strong and run to the beat
Knowing I will meet you there
