Tomorrow, Nate heads back to school. Can you believe that? Where did summer go? Today for lunch, I wanted to do something special for Nate to make him feel celebrated and loved, but a certain momma needed to study the bus schedule so that we don’t miss the new bus stop time and place. I decided I could do a cute and quick lunch with Tyson’s Fun Nuggets. These would work for all three kids – 13, 10, and 2.

For Riley and Julia, I just did simple, normal plates for lunch.

There was a certain little someone who didn’t want to wait for me to take pictures to dig in!

But for Nate – I wanted him to feel special and excited about school tomorrow.

I don’t know about your kiddos – but if you use something just a little differently, they get so excited about eating it!

A dear friend, Lauren, shared with me that she puts sprinkles on chicken and her girls eat it up! So, I decided to try these in a hot dog bun.

I just used toothpicks to prop them up on top. Nate laughed pretty hard when he saw them. He liked the addition of ‘A+’ in ketchup on his plate.

Now, what I like about Tyson is their new Back to School Project A+ Program.

Have you heard of it? It is similar to other programs that help you raise money for your school, but did you know they donate $.24 for each label?! Most of the other programs I know of only donate $.10.

$.24 will go a very long way, especially as we collect the labels all year long.

Julia will be attending a new school this year. They are a newer, smaller school and could use any extra funds! I know a certain library that will be thrilled at the thought of a few new books on their shelves!

I simply logged on at http://projectaplus.tyson.com to make sure that Julia’s school was registered. I found that it was not, so I took two minutes and signed them up!

I’m very excited about sharing Tyson’s Back to School Project A+ Program with the school. I truly see it as just another way to fundraise without having to ask for anyone to buy wrapping paper. (No offense to wrapping paper fundraisers intended!).
