Mr. B’s grandmother lived in Tulsa.
This was her home before she passed away.
After we were married, Mr. B and I would travel to Tulsa at least twice a year. It was only about a 5 hour drive from Denton and she loved to see the kids.
Her house was so fun. Inside was like a big circle that the kids could just run and run in. She never minded the noise and she had a game closet full of treasures from when Mr. B was a kid. The kids loved pulling out all her toys and laying on the floor while the television played whatever OSU game or news was on.
I tried to capture a typical weekend (that I remember) for Mr. B.
Jim’s, Never on Sunday was a requirement.
Their family had gone there for years, knew the owner and the true value of a really good hot dog.
Merritt’s Bakery was my stop of choice.
Delicious, beautiful pastries ~ wall to wall.
The ‘big man’. You can’t go to Tulsa without driving by 🙂
And finally, Holy Family Cathedral.
Mr. B’s grandfather help build the school next door.
I have many memories of walking outside with the kids when they were very small, while we waited for Mass to finish.
And then just driving around Tulsa…
Have a wonderful day!
Thank you for driving around Tulsa with me!
