Thursday afternoon I was rushed to the ER.

My D&C was scheduled for Friday morning, but they went forward with it Thursday evening ~ after all sorts of fun exploratory exams.

At some point I cried to Brian that I wanted my mommy. It’s true. I was a complete mess and I just wanted to see her and know that everything was alright.

I was released at 11:30pm.

My parents arrived the next day at 10:00am.

They cooked, cleaned, let me cry, told me everything was alright,  prayed with me and played with the kids.

Dad and Brian took Nate to the Arizona Wing of the Commerative Air Force.

They came home with the coolest Styrofoam plane ever.

Dad and I went for a walk just to see the flowers.

  1. Oh, I’m so glad they came! Just this morning I was thinking and praying that your mom could be with you, and our kind Father had already answered with both parents! Please know you are beloved.

  2. So glad you’re starting to feel better, and that your parents came. Moms always make us feel better, don’t they? Keep sharing your spirit!

  3. Oh Kate. I’m so sorry. You have had quite a time.
I’m happy that your family is there, taking care of you and making you smile.
    🙂

  4. Oh sweet friend this just broke my heart. I am so sorry for your loss. And now I will lift YOU up. I’m giving you a giant hug…right through this weird connection. I hope you can feel it. May God’s mercy and grace wash all over you.

  5. so glad you are ok.
    at least physically.
emotionally is harder and slower to heal i think.
    no tear is wasted.
God will redeem our hurts and our tears someday.
good for you for looking for color!
    it’s not easy.
