It has become a tradition of sorts. Before Julia heads out for college, she and her dearest friend, Julia, do a photo shoot together.

This year, the theme was Disney. My Julia went with ‘Brave’. Dear Julia went with ‘Mulan’.

Their friendship is so beautiful. Their kindness and support of each other is something straight out of a Jane Austen sisterhood.

I’m going to miss them so much. They were certainly a bright spot and a steady anchor during this pandemic. Their joy of life and crafting and talking and children made the days seem lighter.
