Trust me…. It is… Hmph. It is… Words only poets use.
It takes the breath out of you in a way that you have never been out of breath before. It makes you pause in that theatrical movie way that you think is dramatic and exaggerated, but that is really how you feel.
Sincerely, completely overwhelmed. And so, so, very small.
You can hear the beating in your heart. You actually look for the California Condor to be soaring through the openness. You strain to see if there are any people on the trails below. You smile at the brighness and amazing colors that your camera just won’t capture.
