{Photo from Kelly @Childhood ‘s iPhone… Hi Kelly!}
Friday night… I was so tired.
It had been a long week at work, at first I wasn’t sure if I really wanted to go…
I was headed to The Big Bang in Tempe.
Traffic was a little crazy. It was near the ASU campus and I had no idea where I was going, where to park, or what it was all about….
I was so close to turning around…
And I am SO glad I didn’t!
I parked and nervously walked around the corner.
I paused and wished I had my camera – the ASU campus is really beautiful.
I saw the sign for Big Bang and started walking downstairs.
I was feeling so old surrounded by college kids and loud music.
I walked inside and was greeted by Joy and Steph from Scottsdale Moms and Kelly from Everyday Childhood. They are the sweetest hostesses! They always make sure everyone feels included ~ my favorite kind of people.
I turned around and hello?! Dueling Piano Bar!!
So, when we lived in Texas there was a place called Pete’s Piano Bar that I LOVED. Truth be told, sometimes it was a little smoky and too raunchy for me.
This one was perfect! There is no smoking because it’s Arizona… and they were amazing and sweet with us dorky moms ~ HUGE points in my book.
I laughed, I sang and I smiled! I love making new memories… so glad I stuck it out and didn’t go home. I am already trying to figure out a way to bribe Brian into a date night there…

Katie! I am so glad that you had a nice time out. Isn’t it funny that the times we think we are too tired or feel that we should be home doing something else and instead decide to go have some time with friends we end up having the best time!
Love ya’!
Thank you so much for this post. I love your guts. xo
