Avengers: Endgame Movie Review

Disclaimer: I was invited to a complimentary media screening of Marvel Studios AVENGERS: ENDGAME.

Earlier today, I had the privilege of watching the grand conclusion to 22 films. Yes, writing that makes me tear up. I am still processing the full range of emotions that I felt during the movie.

I have my favorites – my favorite characters, songs, movies – but this stole my heart. I laughed and cried and was angry and shocked and everything in between. This film made my top ten films of all time. Nope, I’m not exaggerating. The casting, the character development, the music, the costumes, the cinematography, and the heart that was put into this movie was absolutely incredible.

Nope, no spoilers. I’ll keep this short.

The most important things about Avengers: Endgame

  • There were many scenes that absolutely earned a PG-13 rating. There were even a few that I thought should be an R. This is not a movie for little ones. Please watch it first to judge how your children would respond to the violence and cursing.
  • The movie is long. Be sure to take a restroom break during the previews and let your babysitter know that it will be longer than usual. The good news is, it doesn’t feel long at all. This is the first 3+ hour movie that absolutely flew by.
  • Yes, you need to see Infinity War before you see this one.
  • Yes, you need to see it opening weekend to avoid spoilers!

Avengers: Endgame is in theaters THIS WEEK (April 26, 2019).

I truly can’t believe that this is the finale. Can we request an encore?!
