{From the backyard}
Challenging times
Stretched thin
Tired
That is when we show what we are made of, right?
That is when we collapse under the weight of it all…
Or we can blossom
We can breathe deep and show our true colors to the world.
What are your true colors?
When I am put to the test, I pray that my colors are red and turquoise, with teeny polka dots and a fabulous burlap tie. Or maybe they are my beloved Aggie Maroon with a lovely cream rosette.
In other words, I hope that I come out kind, gentle and true when I am pushed to my limits.
I choose to lean on Him, knowing that any strength comes only from my Savior.
Happy Friday, friends.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Kate

Hey, sweet girl- I’m sorry you are feeling pushed, tested, thin, and tired. Your heart is beautiful in wanting lean into His goodness there. Your words remind me of Amy Carmichael’s idea that a cup brimful of sweet water cannot spill even one drop of bitter (from “If,” I think, and I’m not 100% certain of wording). Too much bitter remains in me, but our Lord changes bitter springs to sweet. He is big enough for both of us, dear friend.
You are so much stronger than you know because you trust in Him.
